Saedree's first day of kindergarten was not the same as everybody else. She ended up with strep two days before school and had to wait until the antibiotic kicked in before I could send her. It almost broke my heart more that she couldn't go, because she was watching out the front window as all of her friends got on the bus to go to school and she wasn't able to... she ran to her room covered her head with a blanket and SOBBED for a half an hour. I felt so bad for her! So finally yesterday she was able to go and she was so excited. She doesn't go until the afternoon and I knew I was in trouble when she started asking me if it was time for her to go at 8:30. So here she is the first day of the BIG K for Miss Saedree Mae!

Bryson's first day of 3rd grade
Okay so I never knew I could embarrassed my son sooo much before he hit Junior High, well I did it. First of all he didn't want me to even go over to the bus stop on the first day, but I had to because all the moms planned a bus stop breakfast. It turned out really fun we had juice, milk, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, fruit and sausage ( as you can tell in the picture Bryson is trying to finish chewing before he gets on the bus lol) I told him I was going to come up to the school and take some pictures and make sure he got to his class okay and this is what he told me " Mom really ???? that will be sooo embarrassing. So then I told him that I wouldn't take a pictures and he just rolled his eyes and climbed on the bus. I just so happened to get to his class as hes climbing the stairs to go in and I yelled his name which was followed with another of his eye rolls and he just turned and walked into his class... yeah well I followed and said hi to his teacher since I know her pretty well and told her how embarrassed he was that I was even there and to top it all off the silly kid wouldn't even look at me while I was there so I just said have a good day Bry and we will see you later. Oh the joys of being a mother when your kids start out depending on your for everything to being so embarrassed by you. He seems to love his teacher and is excited to be in 3rd grade. I can't imagine how Junior High will be!!!

For Bryson's 8th birthday we had a bunch of his friends come over around 7:30 pm to watch a movie in the backyard. We watched Return to Witch Mountain on the projector on the back of our house. For whatever reason we had a few technical difficulties and weren't able to start the movie until 10 =). But the boys had fun just running around the yard playing flag football while we tried to figure out the movie. He had lots a awesome gifts even though I didn't get a picture of them all. He also wanted a cookie cake with ice cream on top ( which turned out super yummy if I do say so myself) kettle corn and popcorn made by grandma. It was such a fun night and its crazy to think hes already 8 YIKES!

Grandmas Obituary (sp?)
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, Orvilla Allred Stevens, age 82, of Provo, Utah passed away peacefully at home, on July 28, 2009, among family members who loved her. Orvilla was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on December 6, 1926 to Golden and Josephine Allred, the first of six children. She grew up in Hillspring, Alberta, Canada and loved reading and music. Her talent for music was recognized early in her life and she sang on local radio programs as a teen. She graduated from Hillspring High School and continued her studies at a secretarial school in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. She married Blayne Franklin Stevens in the Cardston Alberta Temple, July 19, 1945. Five children were born to this union. Orvilla’s family and the gospel of Jesus Christ were the center of her life. This valiant and virtuous daughter of God has a long history of serving the Lord in the auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An enriching, fulfilling, and beautiful part of Orvilla’s life was her gift of music and one that she graciously shared with others. Orvilla will be remembered for her powerful voice that touched the hearts of those listening. As an endeared member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 21 years, she has been a featured soloist, sung at 42 General Conferences, 6 presidential inaugurations, sung for the Queen of Thailand, sung in 16 languages around the world, performed in local operas, theatre productions, and as a soloist in community productions of Handel’s Messiah. We have all shared in the blessings of her angelic voice in praise to the Lord; it was her way to say, “I love you.”Through her years in the choir and three temple missions she has seen much of the world. Orvilla and Blayne were companions in three temple missions: Seoul Korea, Denver Colorado, and St. Louis Missouri.Orvilla leaves a legacy of 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Blayne Stevens and her five children; Mont (PJ) Stevens of Costa Mesa, California; LaRon (Jeannee) Stevens of Lindon, Utah; Gae Robinson of Provo, Utah; Mona Stevens of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Wendy (Jim) Selmos of Provo, Utah.
