Here are a few pictures of our 4th of July fun. I only got pictures of the parade because I was in awe the my husband actually made it after a 12 hour graveyard shift. He was trying to get home from putting blankets down for the fireworks but just couldn't find a street to get through with the parade route all blocked off. Some how he was able to find us and sit with us through the parade I was so excited, even though the parade was not very good this year it was nice to have him there. After the parade I had to go to work so the kids stayed with my mom and John went home to sleep. When I got home we had a YUMMY BBQ and then went to sit and wait for the fireworks. It is a really fun tradition that both my family and John's does together. We love it, although I do have to say ... and maybe its me but I thought the fireworks stunk this year. We got about 7 mins of fireworks 15 minutes of wait time and then another 10 minutes of more fireworks, nothing like last year. Maybe its the budget cuts but the festivities were not so great this year, but we had a blast with our families and I guess that's all that matters.

I've heard several people say the fireworks weren't good this year. I was inside the stadium this year and they were FANTASTIC from inside, but I must say they were probably mostly in the stadium. I would have probably left after the first round of fireworks, thinking lame. Inside they were supposedly "burning" a flag that was old (didn't really burn it). They seemed to go for awhile to us. Makayla was in AWE of the fireworks.
