My mom bought my kids new outfits. Saedree and Anni had matching ones and they looked so cute that I HAD to take a picture. Bryson was at school so we didn't get a picture of him.

St. Patty Day!

St Patrick's Day was kind of fun... I woke up early and made the kids green scrambled eggs, green blueberry muffins with green milk. The kids thought it was cool but disgusting. Saedree asked me if I had poisoned her food... haha! That was about the extent of our celebration.

I love to see the Temple!

On Saturday we had the wonderful opportunity to go with my family and some of John's family to the Draper Temple. It was beautiful!!! I love the feeling you get when you just look at the beauty of the temple inside and out. I noticed something while we were there that kind of put things into perspective for me. I found myself as we were leaving and getting on the bus, being more in awe ... I guess you could say of the sizes of the homes that are around the temple and not necessarily the outside of the temple. That just goes to show that a lot of times we are focused on the worldly things and don't take the time to turn our heads a little bit and notice what matters the most. I was grateful for that experience and for my eyes to be opened just a little more. I hope that makes sense... I'm not the best at putting my feelings to words.

Zoo

On Saturday we took the kids to the zoo with my family. It was such a beautiful day ... I think the high was 50, it was perfect. Every time we take the kids to the zoo we usually go in August, this time was MUCH different. Because it wasn't so hot the animals were soooo active. We got to see the Elephants playing with branches and breaking them in half, we saw the cougar playing with his little toy and the giraffes were trying to lick Saedree's shoes. It was a more pleasant experience to go when it's not 100 degrees outside. We had a great time. It was Annistyn's first time to the zoo and she LOVED it. When we got to the orangutans there was a younger one that we decided that we would play with a little bit, so my dad got out the little laser pen. He would shine it down onto the orangutans hand and the orangutan would just look at it for a minutes and then try and eat it, each time being unsuccessful. We did this a few more times and each time he would maybe try bringing his hand to his mouth a little more slowly and carefully and when that didn't work he tried clasping his hands together trying to catch that stupid little red dot ( it was cute because he would put his hand out waiting for the dot) hahah . After several attempts he just fell over on his back and stayed there like he was worn out. It was the cutest and funniest thing ever. I forgot to add a picture with my dad in it (hahaha) Yes he was there with us.

Date Night

On Friday John and I were lucky enough to have family watch our kids over night so that we could go out. We decided to go to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner since we have never been there. It was AMAZING!!!!!!! The food was awesome and the atmosphere was so fun, we even had the owner come up to us since it was our first time and ask us how it was. I would totally recommend it to EVERYONE. After dinner we decided to go to a movie, we ended up going to Mall Cop ... what a hilarious movie =) . It as so nice to be able to get out and just be together, thanks for a fun date hun!

Football Stars

This last weekend we went to my mom and dad's house. My mom needed some help with my dad and the kids just needed to get out. Here is Bryson and his Uncle Jayden with their football pads on. It was hysterical because Bryson couldn't use his arms at all since they were so short, so every time he tried to do something he would just laugh his head off. We had a great time like always. Go UTES!

Ready to FIGHT

Yesterday Annistyn put on a headband and snow gloves and came out to find John. When she found him she said " I'm ready to fight daddy" it was the cutest thing ever, she was ready to beat him.

Oh she is so priceless. This was after she wasn't feeling good so it was nice to see her back to normal.
